It seems that nobody we know have ever heard of grilled longganisa (or tocino). Why, we've been doing it forever! Not because it's healthier (and easier/faster to cook), but because of the taste. Anything inihaw tastes better anyway, wouldn't you agree? We cut the longganisa in half, lengthwise, to ensure it is cooked through. Then we just grill both the longganisa and tocino together in our gigantic gas grill.
